Ethiopian food
Ethiopian cuisine is rich in flavor and it’s always delicious. It doesn’t matter which dish you order, you will always find something for your taste buds to enjoy.
Ethiopian food is a fusion of Ethiopian, Middle Eastern, and Indian cuisine. With the exception of one dish – wat – all dishes are served on top of injera bread. The bread is made from teff flour and is fermented for several days before it is cooked.
The traditional Ethiopian dish called tibbs or t’ibs which means fried meat in the Ethiopian language is what most people think of when they think of Ethiopian food. It can be made with beef (lamb), chicken, lamb (goat), fish, or shrimp. There are various ways that this dish can be served; but one thing remains constant: it will always be served with at least two vegetarian side dishes like lentils (misir wot) and cabbage (gomen).

One of the many dishes that are included in our menu is the Doro Wat, also known as ‘Ethiopian chicken stew’. This chicken dish consists of boiled boneless chicken pieces cooked in a tomato-based sauce with onions, ginger, garlic, turmeric and Ethiopian Berbere spice blend. This spicy dish is served with yellow hard-boiled eggs on the side.
